Year 4 Update

We made it! What an unusual term, but I couldn't be prouder of all the hard work and resilience. Year 4 have all shown. Throughout the Continuous Learning Plan, they never gave up their drive to keep going and continue their learning until we could be back together in the classroom. However, you could feel the excitement and joy they all had when we had our first day back at school for the term! The smiles on their faces to be back was heart-warming, and they positively channelled their exuberant energy into making the most of our last two weeks of learning!

They had a great time exploring our unit of 'How we organise ourselves' and looking at Earth's different processes, what causes them and what systems and organisations are put in place to respond to them. Many of them were fascinated by the vast means and conducted their further investigation into evidence of them in their community. They also finished up our focus on persuasive writing. They loved showing their understanding, usually trying to convince me of what we should do in our day, and it was hard not to be persuaded by their clear and articulate arguments!

I look forward to meeting with you and discussing 'where to next' at parent-teacher interviews early next term.

Have a relaxing and restful break with your family.
