Winged Women of Woodleigh!

Ella G, Sophie M, Lola D, Tia B, Liv B, Bridget M, Charlie G and Zoe H all took their first 'small plane' flight last week, piloting Cessna 152s down at Peninsula Aero Club as part of Woodleigh's 'Taste of Aviation for Young Women' Activity. Bella B – Y9, a seasoned trainee pilot – was on hand, encouraging more young women to try flying and get involved in the Activity.

"And I was off… It felt almost as though my whole insides left my body, not scared, more like thrilled. I stared at my surroundings, and as I did, my insides returned back into my body. It felt so bizarre to be up so high and seeing the world from a different physical point of view. Although the thrill was bewildering at the same time, it was also enlightening and relaxing."
